If you ask Rhori what he does for a living you might not get a straight answer, straight away. He’ll probably laugh first.
“I ask myself that every day,” he says.
But spend a little time with him, and it quickly becomes clear that Rhori is, first and foremost, a people person.
Curious by nature, he thrives on connection, understanding people’s stories, what drives them, and how they have built their lives. It is this genuine interest in others that shapes both his work and the way he moves through the world. Whether he is having a coffee with an investor or catching up with a co-worker, Rhori values meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and making the most out of those connections.
Outside of work, you will most likely find him fishing, watching cricket, or enjoying the outdoors. Having lived in London and Melbourne, he has experienced the hustle and bustle, but it is the lifestyle in Western Australia that he values most.
“I had an amazing time living in London and Melbourne,” he says, “but nothing compares to getting out into nature, heading to the beach, or going up north. Perth’s a pretty special place.”
That same curiosity and authenticity carries through to his role in the Key Relationships teams at Westbridge where his work is about building long-term relationships with investors, understanding their goals, and helping guide them towards opportunities that are right for them.
“It’s about understanding people first,” he explains. “You learn what they want from investing and then help them navigate the options.”
Coming from a background in tech startups and capital markets, Rhori brings a fresh perspective. Having learned to navigate the investing world himself, he focuses on explaining concepts clearly and without unnecessary jargon.
“The industry can be complex,” he says. “I try to keep things simple and relatable.”
His approach is grounded in patience and long-term thinking. Rather than focusing on quick wins, he prioritises relationships that develop over time.
“You’re not here to push someone into a decision,” he says. “It’s about helping them be fully educated so they can make the right decision for themselves”.
For Rhori, that is also what makes the role rewarding. Seeing investors progress, achieve their goals, and continue that journey is what keeps him motivated. Along the way, those relationships often become more personal, built on trust and genuine connection.
Working closely with investors has also shaped his own outlook. The biggest lesson has been patience.
“There’s always noise in the market,” he says. “But when you take a long-term view, a lot of that fades away.”
His advice reflects that mindset. Have a clear strategy, understand your goals, and stay consistent.
“There’s no one-size-fits-all approach,” he adds. “The key is knowing why you’re investing and sticking to it.”
While naturally a people person, Rhori admits he prefers depth over volume when it comes to conversations.
“I enjoy real conversations where you get to know someone properly,” he says. “That’s what I find most energising.”
Looking ahead, his focus is simple. Continue building long-term relationships and helping people navigate their investment journey with clarity and confidence.
